Shipping

DID YOU KNOW?

If you spend $99 or more, you will receive FREE SHIPPING?! Woohoo! This is calculated at checkout, so make sure you've selected the free shipping option (if you qualify) under the Delivery drop down menu. If your order doesn't make you eligible for free shipping, I offer a low flat rate shipping fee of $9 Canada wide, or $12 to the US.

HOW IS MY ARTWORK GOING TO BE SHIPPED?

Originals:

  • Watercolour paintings dry quickly, sometimes too quickly! And because of that, it's easy to get buckling in the paper due to uneven drying times.  When this happens, I won't mat the painting until it has been flattened under weights for 24hrs. Please note that all originals will have slight buckling that is unavoidable, but I do try my best to flatten it out completely!

  • All artwork is matted and then backed with an acid free cardstock for added stability.  I then secure the artwork in an acid-free poly-bag, wrap it in paper, then sandwiched flat between two thick and sturdy double corrugated pieces of cardboard.

  • All artwork will ship via Canada Post within Canada and most packages arrive within 3-6 days (domestic) from time of shipping (includes tracking & insurance). International shipments will be sent via Canada Post or other carrier. International buyers, please note that shipping charges may vary from the amount you pay at checkout. Please email me with questions or to get an estimate.

Prints:

  • All prints are handled with the utmost care; packaged beautifully in an acid free plastic sleeve.

  • Prints are all shipped flat to avoid any kinks in the beautiful paper! They are secured between two thick pieces of double corrugated cardboard.

  • Shipped via Canada Post Expedited Parcel (3-6 days for domestic shipping) with a flat rate fee of $9.00.

International Shipments (US Only)

  • Shipping is a flat rate of $12 to the USA.

  • International packages are a bit outside of my control. Boarder fees, duties, and handling fees may be charged by other countries. Tracking is also quite unreliable with international shipments. That being said, I mail packages internationally every single week with great success overall!

Shipping costs cover fees, packaging supplies, time, labor, and storage.

 7. CAN I PICK UP MY ARTWORK FROM YOUR STUDIO?  Absolutely!  You are also welcome & encouraged to pick up your original artwork in person at my studio Calgary, Alberta.  Choose Local Pick Up at checkout and I will be sure to connect with you as soon as your artwork is ready for pickup.  Make sure to check your junk mail too! Sometimes my emails go there!

 8. RETURNS: Every order, commission, and sale is handled with care and as much clarity and transparency as possible.  My goal is for you to be completely thrilled with your purchase!  Because of this, all sales are final except in certain situations.  You can read more about it here or please email: jill@jillweston.com

Please take the time to read descriptions carefully and the check colors on multiple screens if you are concerned about color variations.  I try my best to represent the colors and tones in my work honestly and clearly.

My artwork arrived damaged OR was not delivered OR was lost OR was stolen from my doorstep. Is this something you can help with? We are not liable for any mishandling or failed delivery by the shipping service (Canada Post or UPS, domestically or internationally), and we are not liable for any damage incurred post-delivery. We work hard to package each order with care in sturdy flat mailers and tubes so that it arrives undamaged, and we suggest you handle your new artwork with care when framing. Please be kind when reaching out and remember that we do not run the post office or Canada Post, and we have no control over the treatment of your package in transit! It’s just as much of a bummer for us to see damaged prints as it is for you to receive them.

That being said, this is how we typically handle situations that fall outside of our control:

Damaged Print: If your print is damaged in transit we are happy to handle this on a case by case basis with individual collectors who are able to provide details and documentation of the damage. Creasing and bends can be flattened. Collectors may be asked to file a claim with the shipping service. If the order is a complete loss and we offer a reprint, we ask that you return the print to our studio, either in the original packaging or in sturdy packaging purchased at your local post office. Collectors are responsible for shipping costs for replacement prints. We are unable to replace for free any prints damaged after delivery, so please place your print in a place away from possible water or heat damage, and handle the artwork with care when framing.

Not Delivered / Lost / Stolen: If your package is marked “Delivered” and yet is nowhere to be found on your doorstep, please first check your confirmation email to ensure that you input the correct shipping address. We are unable to replace any print order for free if the shipping address is incorrect. This does happen occasionally, and it is not uncommon to have the package returned here to the studio. If that is the case, we are more than happy to forward it to your correct address, though we ask that you pay for the postage. If the address is correct and you believe your package to have been lost, stolen, or if you missed the delivery, you must contact the shipping service personally. Unfortunately, there isn’t anything we can do on our end, so we are unable to address any failed delivery or theft issues directly. If a package is unable to be delivered, and is returned to our studio, we are happy to reship, but ask that you pay the for the additional postage. We are unable to reprint any order for free that has been not delivered, lost, or stolen.
